Last night, for the third time in recent weeks, Trump threatened federal action in Oregon. We do not want a military takeover in Oregon. Today, we are rolling out a new webpage and message guide with resources to help you stay updated, take action, and speak out as we learn more.

WHAT'S HAPPENING: Last night, amid the deployment of National Guard units to California, D.C., and Tennessee, President Trump escalated his threat of federal action in Oregon. This marks the third instance in less than three weeks that Trump has specifically targeted Oregon, this time after making false and inflammatory statements about Portland. We do not know what the future holds, but one thing is clear: We do not want federal forces to take control over our communities.

Any takeover of any community in Oregon is an abuse of power, a gross federal overreach, and a misuse of the military. People across the state and the political spectrum are coming together to peacefully oppose politically motivated attacks on our communities.
