Oregonians Unite Against Trump Regime’s Baseless Assault on Public Safety & Lands
Oregon officials and organizations are standing up and fighting back to protect our longstanding, bipartisan Sanctuary Law, which protects everyday people from being targeted based solely on the color of their skin, their accent, or their perceived immigration status.

UPHOLDING THE LAW AND PUBLIC SAFETY
WHAT'S HAPPENING: The Trump Regime is undermining public safety by withholding federal grants intended to help crime victims from any state–including Oregon– that does not repeal its “Sanctuary Law.”

HOW WE'RE FIGHTING BACK:
Oregon Attorney General Dan Rayfield has joined a coalition of 20 state attorneys general in suing the Trump Administration for illegally trying to block access to Congressionally approved grants for victims and survivors of crimes.
Oregon Governor Tina Kotek pushed back on federal officials and reaffirmed Oregon’s commitment to upholding our voter-approved Sanctuary Law.
PROTECTING PUBLIC LANDS
WHAT'S HAPPENING: This summer, Trump’s Department of Justice reversed a 1938 public lands protection, ruling that presidents can now undo established national monuments. This means that Oregonians are at risk of permanently losing access to some of Oregon’s natural treasures, such as Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument and the John Day Fossil Beds. These national monuments could be sold off to the highest bidder and decimated by oil, gas, and mining corporations, forfeiting a century-old legacy that we may never again be able to pass on to future generations.
HOW WE'RE FIGHTING BACK:
Oregon League of Conservation Voters is asking folks to share their stories about why public lands matter to them. Please submit yours using this quick and easy form.
