Healthcare for 1.4 million Oregonians is at risk.
Healthcare for 1.4 million Oregonians is at risk.
Congressional Republicans are rushing to pass reckless Medicaid cuts that would terminate the healthcare of more than 8.6 million Americans, including many of the 1 in 3 Oregonians on the Oregon Health Plan. Despite every Oregon Democrat in Congress and even some Republicans across the country speaking out against the bill, Rep. Cliff Bentz has described terminating Oregonians' healthcare coverage as "really good."
PROTECTING HEALTHCARE FOR 1.4 MILLION OREGONIANS
WHAT'S HAPPENING: Late Sunday night, Congressional Republicans released a wildly unpopular plan to terminate healthcare coverage for more than 8.6 million Americans on Medicaid in order to grow tax breaks for billionaires. Medicaid is healthcare for 1 in 3 Oregonians, meaning thousands of seniors in nursing homes, children, and people with disabilities could be among those to lose coverage as a result of these rushed and reckless cuts.
Despite representing a district in which 7 in 10 children rely on Medicaid, Rep. Cliff Bentz (OR-02) has been largely silent on the proposal. In addition to terminating healthcare for Oregonians, the Medicaid cuts also threaten to close rural hospitals, raise costs on everyday families, and fail to improve healthcare or hold price-gouging corporations accountable.
This is the moment to show we are united against Medicaid cuts that hurt Oregonians, including cuts to Healthier Oregon, reproductive care, and gender-affirming care. We must all raise our voices to call on Rep. Cliff Bentz to vote NO.

PROTECTING OREGONIANS AMID ECONOMIC UNCERTAINTY
WHAT'S HAPPENING: Wednesday’s state revenue forecast confirmed what everyday Oregonians are already feeling: Trump tariffs, rising prices, job cuts, and economic instability are taking a toll on families. We all know billionaires and the wealthy will glide through a recession, but working families here in Oregon are counting on state leadership to fund the services we need to get through difficult times. That’s why a broad coalition of organizations across the state are urging lawmakers to reject new tax breaks for the wealthy, keep a robust emergency fund, and make investments in public services to keep our economy strong.
HOW WE'RE FIGHTING BACK:
Join union members across the state to rally in Salem on June 5th to call on lawmakers to craft a budget that invests in our communities.

GROWING SUPPORT FOR OUR IMMIGRANT NEIGHBORS
WHAT'S HAPPENING: Last week, Oregon for All began a statewide digital advertising program to build long-term grassroots organizing and fundraising capacity. The ads, which launched just days after more than 1,000 Oregonians gathered in Salem to stand in solidarity for workers rights and demand an end to mass deportations, amplify messaging from the “Oregon is Home” campaign.
